FYI, just ordered mine from the seidio site with coupon code MW0131, which gives 10% off orders of $50+, supposedly good thru 1/31. Brought the price roughly from 60 shipped back down to 55. Looking forward to transforming my g1 into a dual purpose portable pc/brick for throwing at purse snatchers.
Ok, I've got the same one, I guess it went down in price, since then. I've got it as soon as it appeared on ebayHave you tried that battery out yet? Has anyone else ordered/used any of the extended batteries on ebay? For $16.99 shipped for a 2300mah battery, I'm thinking it might be worth the try? by ultra spikey
It works fine, yes you could probably say, that it's not as comfortable to type, as on the flat one, but I got used to it really quick, it was also quite awkard to type with the stock phone because of the chin, but you get used to it. The battery life is last 2 times of the orignal. Lasts fine all day, with extensive use. I got the phone for functionality as well, if i wanted something pretty, would of gotten iPhone, to bad that the google didn't make g1 out of solid metal, like Nokia 8800, would of looked great. Maybe will do it to my g1, just gotta find who can do it for me, I've heard there is special chrome paints for plastics...

Thats the battery I ordered. Once I get the battery, I'm thinking of taking my ebay plastic case, and cutting out the back (with a dremel) so that the hump would fit through it. That way I can still have the extended battery and case together. It would probably make the extended battery look smaller as well.
You wouldn't be able to do that with the seidio extended battery cover.
Anybody try this?

Looks ok, addresses the battery issue, whats the problem?
i bought the battery about 2 weeks ago... da 2600mha... and to be honest it is so much worth it... i mean im not going to lie its pretty big... but if ur into ur phone being about all fashion then dont get it cause you wont like it. but if u got the phone cause of what it can do... then u gotta defintly get this... i take da phone off da charger at 8am... i use the phone texting... watchin music videos.... talkin....downloading... web browsing... all the way till 3am... and by that time the phones battery is 2/3 done... im not lieing to u... its a very big differnce and its worth the 55 dollars. and i have blue tooth on/3g/ gps/ and all that type of other **** on it
For the fellow men who bought the extended case with battery, how do you carry this on your person?
I have a nice vertical leather belt-clip case with a velcro closure that I purchased from Fortte.com. It's great for the OEM G1, but it wouldn't hold the thicker and heavier extended G1. If it did, it would probably drag my pants down after walking a few blocks!
Just got the Seidio battery and included back cover. Battery seems fine thus far but please note one major design flaw....
While they designed the back cover to have a recessed area for camera lense, they failed to do so for the speaker. So basically you get a very muffled speaker sound since the sound gets to bounce around in the hollow backing case with only a portion of the sound coming out through the back cover's holes. Quite muffled sound and reduced volume now.
Annoying....called Seidio customer service and they refused to agree that was design flaw so if you want to return it, you pay shipping back to them and eat the original shipping costs too. Not fair for their poor design as they should have made the speaker holes recessed back with the camera lense.
Hmmmm Ive been wondering how speaker sound is with the extended batteries.![]()

I called TMobile about battery problems I had. They recommended I call HTC Support directly at 888-716-3594.
They ended up shipping me another battery at the cost of $29.99 plus $7.00 shipping and $2.47 for sales tax - came to a grand total of $39.46. They also sent me an RMA ticket, so I can send my old battery back to them. They should then credit the $39.46 back to me.
I noticed both the new and the old batteries are 1150mAh. The old one has a part # 35H00106 - 01M and the new one is 35H00106 - 02M.
I just got it today (took one day to get here - Houston to Dallas), so I haven't had a chance to try out the new battery yet. I'm considering keeping both. I'll let the new one charge overnight tonight and see how things work the next few days before deciding on sending the old battery back.
Anyone gone this path? I'm so not looking forward to getting the big battery and cover.
I love the Innocell 2600 Extended Life Battery - Black I bought it and I never run out of juice anymore, it looks allot better than the hump battery, and holds more charge. The hump battery to me looks like something someone micky moused together to try to make an extra buck where as the Innocell, is very professional looking, a couple of my friends didn't believe that I had the bigger battery till I showed them.Anyways it gets an a plus for me a very solid product. So if you need more juice because you are a G33K Like me and use your phone for almost everything.. then check out that battery, personally I think the G1 should have launched with the option to get that battery setup from the start. Oh and about the sound I didn't have the same experience as he did at all if anything the extra air helped the bass. I will probably post a video on my blog to help people decide for themselves.
