Facts surface about Cupcake elements in a new T-Mobile G1 update

Please notice the source of this blog post at the bottom of it. It comes from "Googleandblog.com"

1- If you check out googleandblog.com you will see that that blog has been wrong on many issues concerning the Android platform and the G1.

2 - The same blog said that T-Mobile was going to start replacing batteries with larger ones in the G1 after Christmas, and they obviously haven't.

3 - Also, "Googleandblog" has been wrong on the very issue of Cupcake in the past. They stated that a "close source" leaked that the release would come out by the 11th of Janurary, and it obviously hasn't.

4 - Futhermore, if you read the post again, its obvious that all "Googleandblog" did was speak with a "higher up" tech support rep (ie - they like to call themselves G1 support specialists but really they are just another know-nothing who obviously fed the guy what he wanted to hear and then googleandblog proceeded to spread is as "FACT"

5 - Googleandblog is known to delete posts from users who disagree with what they try to spread as "fact"

6 - There is not another site online who is able to substantiate any of the claims made by googleandblog, and given the fact they have been so wrong in the past on so many issues concerning the G1, I'm going to have to take whatever "facts" have been said in that blog as only speculation.

This is hilarious....

• FACT - The memo I was privy to is NOT distributed to Support personnel.

• FACT - T-Mobile Specialists & Support are LAST to know when an update happens and are notified AFTER it is released as was the case with RC29 & RC30.

OK.... however he spoke with "Dylan" who is a PDA specialist (tier 2 specialist). So basically he is saying that the person that told him all this also told him that he has been told nothing!

Aside from the FACT that Googleandblog has been reporting rumors as FACT.... is the Fact that all other "sources" on the web are quoting Googleandblog as their source. How funny is that?

I can't wait for an update to my already great G1...but we just have to wait and hope. At this point release dates are a closely kept secret.

This is what i think also, I want the cupcake update just as bad as anyone else but i am ok with the wait, I work as a software quality engineer and testing something like this could and should take a while. The longer they spend testing the less bugs we are going to find in the OS when its released.

Plus 1 here too.... I think the paid apps portion of the market is done, but they are waiting to release that until cupcake is finished. Reason being, so many of the apps on the market are going to become redundant as cupcake will add on some of the things that people are writing software for.

Hopefully there will be another "house cleaning" like when they first launched the hardware. I think this would eliminate alot of redundant software and useless apps
