HTC Hero Android build leaks: new PMP, browser & more

Hey guys,

Thanks to hondamx525 for clearing that up Basically, whenever we post an article to the AC frontpage it automatically creates a new forum thread - that's because the comments are tied into the forum. Anything you comment in this thread shows up underneath the full article on the AC frontpage.

I try to read as much as I can of the forum in the time I have available, but if there's something news-worthy that you think ought to be on the AC frontpage then please do slap it into the tips page (http://androidcommunity.com/send-tips/) and it'll go out to the whole news team

Where did you get the Flash support in the browser from? I did not see anything like that in the video. Maybe I overlooked it... Either way, it looks really nice.

I want that HTC Hero badly. The donut update better come out for G1. That would be very smart on their part if they did... Don't want to start pissing more people off. The interface is so slick. I love the green selected states, and the new music player. Very cool!

I though Hero was an updated OS of cupcake. And most likely "donut" wont come out for the G1 since its life cycle is supposed 2 end in the fall maybe bigfoot (G1v1.2) will get the update.

Correct, Hero will NOT be running Donut, its just Cupcake with a few bits of HTC flair. And the G1 will most likely not be receiving donut in any official capacity, though someone will more than likely take a stab at porting it. Though honestly, most here won't have a G1 when that happens, with all of the android devices coming up.

I've grown so fond of the LED notifications in the Missed Call app that I will probably hold tightly to my G1 for awhile if the forthcoming Android devices are unable to take advantage of that application and its features.
