Chris, hope you'll get more out of them than I have in the past. For instance, I asked the same question to HTC about the Touch HD before it was released (I bought it hoping it would have it, not knowing!); HTC said they don't pass on technical details before releases.

That said, you never find anything on bluetooth profiles anywhere. Not a single review that just creates a tiny little list.

Another question though. How would this device stand against the Palm Pre? Fellow gadget lovers tell me that the Pre supports multitasking and that the Hero doesn't. Is this true? Even Windows Mobile can handle multitasking (basically having multiple programs open and still being able to do something with them in the background), so I'd be amazed.

    Cheers,
    MC

All Android phones can handle multitasking, long press the home button and you get the last 6 apps that are in memory. All held in the place where you left off.

Chris, just thought of something... any chance you can check the profiles on the device itself? Not sure if Android has the same option as Winmo where you just select the bluetooth settings and have a tab somewhere where you can see all your bluetooth profiles?

I did look, but I couldn't see anything explaining which profiles were supported. Usually I get a good response from HTC, so I'm confident they'll be able to get the information; their UK PR people didn't know, so they're going back to HTC themselves. When I've asked questions that require that in the past it's usually taken a few days to hear back, but they do follow up.

As soon as I hear anything I'll post about it.

Just heard back from HTC regarding Bluetooth profile support. See this article here:
