I guess all the advertising has worked. Good for Google, HTC, and TMobile.

1 mil by year end is a pretty good number. That's a total of 1 mil in 9 weeks or 111,111 per week.

Good job HTC.

While I like the design of the G1 and the functionality of the keyboard combined with the scroll ball and the touch screen are the best of any phone IMO, I'd like to see a little bit of a more snazzy design for the G2, combined with a better build quality and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. I don't like that my back cover squeaks, and that my hinge has started to squeak (one month after purchase).

Other than that, a good looking, well-thought out phone.

HTC has shipped tons more handsets than Asus... Asus has a tiny marketshare of handsets compared to HTC. The key metric for Asus is how will the carriers like working with them. It's one thing to sell an unlocked channel distributed device, another to get carriers to work with you (which HTC does well)

That is probably at least true for batteries...
