Dear god why? Android's virtual machine is supposedly optimized for low-memory devices, but my laptop has 2GB whereas the G1 has a mere 192mb. My laptop also lacks a touchscreen and GPS, making Android relatively useless. Additionally, my laptop's display is 1280x1024 (or something similar), whereas the G1's display is, what, 3.2" and 320x480? Since Android has no way of windowing applications, every app would be full-screen on the laptop, using up every bit of its 13.3" screen -- not exactly what I'd call efficient use of resources.

If you want Android on your PeeCee, I suggest you either install the emulator that comes with the SDK or simply install Linux and X11.

I'm anxious to see Android running on the iPhone. Just so I can say to a friend of mine "told you so."
    Some call me... Tim.
    G1 running latest CM
8gb Class2 (my poor class 8 is toast.. booo!)
