Vincent,
I wouldn't bet on Nokia never going to Android, although I recognize the chances are quite small. But look at Sony Ericson... who would have thought they would release a Windows Mobile device (the X1) after so much commitment to Symbian ? Same for Palm One, it was a big shock when they switched from Palm OS to Windows Mobile.
Companies just go where they think the money is. Only consumers are in religious wars.
Motorola has "confirmed" that they will release an Android powered phone, but just barely.
"We were waiting for Motorola for finally confirm that they will manufacture a future Android phone after we heard how the company increased its Android development team form 50 to 350. Well Motorola confirmed it although it gave us no actual details. What kind of phone? When is it going to be released? Is it going to be a RAZR spin-off and if so, why?
Have a look at Motorola’s official statement:We’re excited about the innovation possibilities on Android, and [we] look forward to delivering great products in partnership with Google and the Open Handset Alliance (OHA).Not a lot to work on right? We’re going to be waiting for more concrete stuff from Motorola on their Android adventure."
