Nokia says no to Android smartphone rumors

Not so long ago Nokia and Intel announced a partnership that had Intel licensing Nokia 3G modem tech and Nokia gaining the ability to use Intel products. Many hoped that the announcement would also include a new MID from Nokia using Intel parts, but that failed to happen.

I hope Intel and Nokia will come up with something new in the mobile market considering their products are popular in their own market segments. It would be nice to see an Intel processor inside a Nokia phone but personally I prefer to see a Symbian OS.

If they will ever produce a mobile product together, I would love to see it on top of competition. HTC Hero with Android was just recently unveiled and even though it's featured filled, it ranks lower in terms of CPU speed compared to Palm Pre, iPhone 3GS and Samsung S8000 Jet as we reported in our episode:
