I have an unlocked G1 on AT&T. I've had no problems installing or using ShopSavvy over WiFi.

ShopSavvy needs to scan UPC codes. Not all UPC codes are indexed on some product sites. To top this off, some retailers use custom barcodes (They are NOT UPC's). Stores that sell their own brand product solely tend to do this along with a lot of clothing retailers.

He's not talking about the phone not working with different SIM cards, but what the market shows you based on your SIM.

I honestly don't know why this is "news" because this features is old as hell (since the G1 launched in the UK). But in the developer dashboard we have the ability to select which locales our apps will show up in. Thus the reason why it'll show for certain region's SIMs and not for others.
