Some G1 pre-orders to arrive late

If you plan on buying a Google phone from a store you need to know that they will only be selling them in cities with G1 service on the 22nd. If your city does not have G1 service the only way you will be able to get it is by pre order. There are only nine cities that will be selling th phone on the 22nd. And I just ordered mine this week and I have to wait till the 10th of Nov.

I'm assuming you meant to say 3G Service areas.

Where did you get only 9 cities? T-Mobile is going to have at least 23 cities up and running with 3G by the 22nd of October.

I ordered mine on the 29th and I called T-mobile and they said it would be the 22nd.

as said earlier "All i know is that it better be here on the 22nd" or something llike that. I preordered mine like right after the press conferece i belive on the 23rd. ive been counting down the days since. 10 more babyyy

On one hand I can see where loyal customers feel slighted not recieving their phones until the November 10th estimated delivery date for online purchases after 5:30 October 3rd. Order early and be penalized for having done so??? Something wrong here!!
On the other hand I can see the logic behind T-Mobile's later delivery date for those that ordered after the October 3rd, 5:30 deadline for October 22nd delivery, considering production was trippled and the G1's were still completely sold out for the early delivery date. T-Mobile out of loyalty or obligation to the in store sales staff, should have the units for the sales people to sell to the public. If not and they work on commission, they are missing the opportunity for mass sales which could greatly affect their paychecks. We all deserve a chance to make money, especially given todays economy.
Also, walk in customers would be slighted as there are many other scenerios that affect their ability to order online. I've heard a customer say, more than once, "It's like I'm being punished for being a loyal customer". Other instances can be applied to this example also but that's another story!
Fortunatly I ordered my phones on the September 23rd G1 announcement date. Let's all hope the wait is worth it. I know I'm psyched!

I ordered mine on the 23rd....4 hours after the webcast. I get's no phone on the 22nd. All T-Mobile had to say was sorry...better luck next time. If I don't get some answers......IPhone and Objective C here I come!
