Default T-Mobile G1 gets update after much delay

T-Mobile has finally released their new update (RC29) to the public. This version apparently has the Browser patch that was missing on the RC28 version which was sent out on Friday. It appears that not everyone has received this update yet.

Nope, nothing here yet. What are the specs on this build update RC29? Besides the web browsing security flaw. I never got the 28 so i suppose they put it all together with RC29 with the security fix.

i believe officially the patch is being rolled out in a staggered release all the way up til nov 12th or 14th or something, so don't expect it any time specific.

    I've got nothing.

Anyone know if you have to be on 3g or wifi to get it?

Unhappy Re: T-Mobile G1 gets update after much delay

I got my Fri OTA but not the new one... Probably 'cause there's no 3G nor Edge
I don't know why - could be for the reason the data trial period has come to an end. But yesterday when I called TMo, a representative "Monica" was of no help: she put me on a 5-min hold, and later just said that "it expires when it expires" so I guess I gotta use my intuitive abilities... Lm@o As for the update she was reading smth. - she couldn't even say it in her own words. Disappointed
