Good, seeing as I just bought my G1, and it goes active on Jan 2nd I would feel a bit upset if this were true, but thankfully, it is not.

No way! It just doesn't make sense. Tmonews and Noah from Phonedog agree that there will be no new android devices in quarter 1 especially in January. Not to spoil it, I want a new phone just as much as the next guy but it's just not gonna happen.

Seems like somebody is confusing g2 with new hardware. All of the features mentioned seem to be in the cupcake android release. I think g2 means the 2nd major release of android on the g1.

Well, lets get the process started. This is definitely a slap in the face to G1 users. Let's see what can be done ahead of time for us pioneering G1 owners that don't deserve to be hung out to dry on this.
