T-Mobile G2 rumors get a little clearer

I think what people are not understanding is that anything that uses the android platform is going to be

IDENTICAL


to the G1


It doesn't necessarily mean that it's a sequel or new edition.
Just different hardware.

So whether it's the new iPhone that uses Android, or a prepaid one from Target, it's still going to be like the G1, maybe just different hardware.

I don't think they are going to be necessarily identical. At first, maybe, but the carriers can pimp out the phones with their own UI interpretation once the tools are finished, and there will certainly be different branches of Androidness with the same core that Google disseminates and then the carriers marry it to their own ish. I am afraid of what Sprint is going to do with theirs... glad I jumped off that ship!

i'm hoping you're right... I hope they do get their uniqueness later on.

Keep the facts and rumors coming! I like this site for the updates it provides... true or not. I come here for facts, truth, information... and sometimes (believe it or not) entertainment...which is exactly what this story was. You folks are still cool in my book!

I second that...If I want 100% confirmed facts I'll go to wikipedia, if there is something out there being talked about involving android, whether it be fact or rumor, I look to this site to hear about it. Keep up the good work

Can you imagine verizons implementation? 90% must be of GUI must be red, and it only has 2 apps, BREW emulator and Cripple Hardware.

Spot on. Very surprised that the normally excellent journalism was dragged this low... People make mistakes. Bloggers jump on it... Correct the mistake and move on; maybe even make a whole new story out of the mistake you made like the BBC do!

Shawn in response to the new article, much better, still definitely sounds like a rumor.(Glad you said it was this time. That's all you had to do last time!) Maybe you could do some digging and find out where the "tipster" was or went to "see" the G2 and the other carrier's phone and not the G3....was it a conference, demo, corporate espionage? Just wondering. I think AC would love to see a piece on the "Anonymous Tipster" and his sources.

I agree but they got this information from a very unreliable source. Cellphonesignal.com. They are not trustworthy anymore since all the mods and writters are now at tmonews.com.
