My Mother dislikes her "MyTouch" - And her 3G signal sucks inside (mine works just fine, on the G1)

Ohh, I'm going to Tmobile to pay my bill in a few so I guess ill have a chance to play with the MT as well. Never seen it in person and if I like it enough, might get one off ebay.

i went in to see it today


i *know* my next phone is gonna be an android phone - "which one" is the only question

i'm watching this whole android thing develop from the sidelines - i've seen G-1s here and there, but my experience with themis very limited



so.. i wanted to see how the touchscreen would work out

my impression: bleh!

i had a really hard time - was a LOT harder than it had to be

NONE of the new phones that are coming out have a physical keyboard


heck, even the G-1's keyboard kinda sucked - the keys don't protrude enough and they're hard to press

do you own a g1?

i find the hardware keyboard extremely easy to type i can type without even looking at the keyboard. its the same keyboard as the SK keyboard and the SK keyboard is one of the best

now i cant say the same about the VK cuz it sucks. i only use it when i have the phone in my holster and dont wanna clip it and unclip it.

hmm..

no - i don't have a g1 - i just played with it in the store today

i have a treo and the buttons protrude a lot more - they're alot rounder ("bumpy") - i guess that's what i'm used to



for the record, i think the lancaster is the best looking android phone on the horizon

i like the hero's UI the best - but i think it physically looks the worst!


problem w/ the lancaster... too small

and, it seems like its being aimed at the teenie-bopper market - specifically FEMALE teeny-boppers, by how tiny its going to be (think: tiny girl fingers)

just because the keys are popped out more doesnt mean its a better keyboard. i used to have a 755 and i hated the fact that the keys were so close together and small (which is why i would never get a palm pre) so the g1 keyboard is a big improvement on a treo keyboard
