This time, it would be the real deal. For people who don't want root, and don't appreciate being told to root every 4 seconds, this announcement couldn't come soon enough.

Agreed SS. I rooted a month ago but didn't want to deal with the issues it presented. Switched back. I don't need tethering, and themes/widgets/etc. I can get with Open Home on my unrooted G1. I'm tired of people acting like people that don't root are less than them.

Totally agree. These people who root think they're "Elite". lol. I don't need to root, my phone works just fine as it is, and I think I can manage to wait till next week to get this update.
Every other thread...root root root. Pffttt..

so once the update officially rolls out, does that mean we will be seeing a jf update for us rooted but non-adp users?

SO now the Android will have a physical keyboard as well as an onscreen one... I will probably keep mine closed the whole time now.

I'm sure as soon as people start getting the update we'll get a link to the update.zip file. That's what I'm waiting for, too. Assuming I don't get the OTA update first, that is.
