So is this without a contract? That would be hot.

Thumbs up Re: Where can you pickup a T-Mobile G1 for $125?

You would still have to pay the activation and upgrade fee which would push this to around $150.

I detailed how most people could get the G1 for $139.99 wiith NO fees and 10% off your monthly bill by following these steps http://www.googleandblog.com/best-de...id-phone/3270/

Why would you have to pay the upgrade fee to TMobile if you didn't get your phone through them?

The activation fee is simple to get around -- refuse to pay it. This usually works when you're at the end of your contract and going for a renewal, preferably towards the end of the month. Inform the sales rep that if you have to pay the activation fee you might as well go with "that iPhone thingy from AT&T", or come up with some drama about how you're a long-time TMobile customer and shouldn't have to pay stupid fees, etc etc. They'll either waive the activation fee or offer free accessories in an attempt to get the sale.

I managed to snatch one of them (first time I've ever been able to buy anything other than a free coupon from MyWishList, this is the fourth year I've tried). There's a total of 600 available, 200 at each time window. I had to pay taxes and shipping which brought the total up to $152.26 -- $10.20 tax and $17.06 for shipping (via UPS ground).

I'm not currently a T-Mobile customer so will probably have to pay the activation fee .

I've apparently paid nothing for my G1. T-mobile forgot to charge me for it.

With the shipping charges AMEX makes you pay the price is already at over $142 never mind if you can talk your way out of the activation/upgrade fees.

$139.99 is still the better offer with no shipping charges, color choice, and 10% off your monthly bill - you still have to pay tax.

    @ Joggle,

Were you able to select a color or only black? - curious if its on older model without the 3.5mm headphone jack converter.
