My company uses the enterprise version of Gmail for its corporate email solution. So my email address is xxxxx@company.com as opposed to xxxxx@gmail.com. Will I be able to activate my new G1 with my company Gmail account? I am afraid it is only going to allow a "gmail.com" address. It would be great to use my company gmail so that everything syncs!
I've read conflicting reports. Some say "Google Account" while other reports say "Gmail Account". I have a google account under my yahoo email address, otherwise I'll just have to shift over to the google cloud, which doesn't sound so bad at the moment...
If you can log onto gmail.com using your xxxxx@company.com user information, then you should be able to activate your G1 using that account.
Yes, the G1 works with enterprise Google accounts just fine.
It was said during the announcement that the G1 will work with business users that have a GMail solution with their own domain, also with Google Apps.
