    Default Google "Gpod" music player

With all the news involving Google's advances into other territories such as mobile phone operating systems and web browsers what is left? Google has surpassed Apple by 14 places when it hit at no.10 on Interbrand's list of the top ten brands. Google however did not beat out Microsoft who took 3rd on the list. With Google right in between the two would it be wise to start making a hand held portable music player to compete with the Ipod and Zune?

That would be pretty sweet, very interested to see how Google would put their twist on it.

Not until we get a kickass one inside Android on our G1! Not saying I know it won't be there, but the media player in .9 is nothing to write home about. But as I post this from Chrome, having clicked in my google reader page to come to the site, which I found a while back by searching in google after updating my google calendar, I'm inclined to think that most anything google has touched so far is gold. Obviously a GPod would run on Android, so hey! Win-win for all of us, right?

How the media player is necessary in our life? iPod, MP3 players of all kinds, Gpods?

I dunno... I am maybe a little bit old fashioned and do not see the purpose of the ipods but - don't we have the PODs in our cell-phones already?

SmartPhones do have extra storage space (cards, internal memory) and once we put the program into the device - we actually have POD ...

I would prefer to have everything in one device then to carry more on my pocket, etc...

If there IS a "Gpod", it's going to have to find a new name, or fight one hell of a competing device for the name G-pod!

I have a Zune and iPhone and use both multiple times a day for music. I can not live without them. I find them absolutely necessary.

I actually use TuneWiki on my iPhone and definitely recommended it to anyone. I don't go a day without using it. I am actually doing just that now.
