I just got off the phone with a T-Mobile rep and asked how I can check my data consumption for the month. I told her I had heard rumors out there that T-Mobile was going to be aggressive and throttle you down to 2G speeds after you hit 1 GB of data traffic. She continued to say that T-Mobile will no cut you off completely from data usage (she said AT&T just cuts you off) but throttle you down after 10GBs of data usage. She also said you will notice a radical difference in speed once you are throttled down and that you will receive a text message on your phone say that you have hit the monthly cap and are now being throttled. Once you start your new billing cycle you will no longer be throttled down anymore.
Just thought I would share this with you guys. 10GBs is allot if you ask me... unless you stream allot of pr0nhahahaha...
This is very old news, and has been known for a while. They removed the 1GB cap the first day after launch and upped it to 10. It's going to be very very hard for anyone to get near 10Gb, so no body really has anything to worry about.
