Sony Ericsson to develop Android-based handset

Finally!! This is what I have been waiting for! Sony Ericsson produces some of the best quality phones in the world, walkman, cybershot, xperia...!! I cannot wait to see what SE comes up with. SE+ANDROID=Yummy

some of my fav sony ericsson devices are the:
C905(amazing camera phone)
X1-There flagship touch/windows device..why do you have to be so expensive....
k800i
C902
much more...

well what do you guys think??

Anyone reading this, please keep in mind that Sony Ericsson has not made any announcement saying that they will make a handset, what the features will be, or when it will be released. They simply joined the OHA, so the probability of a handset coming out sometime in the future is high.

If the hardware was built using high quality materials and workmanship, I'd GLADLY pay that for one using Android.

i hope whatever they make is similar to the X1 (made by HTC) but with android and gets picked up by tmobile or ATT so i can get a discount for signing a contract.

haha oh man. im glad to see i have found some x1 fans. the x1 one is like a celebrity(certain ones haha) among the world of cell phones, nice body, built way, stunning, inside and out, expensive, and only in our dreams! Man if they built an android with the same love and care put into the x1...perfection. even still, i love my G1...i have always loved the Sony Ericsson phone brand. Especially since the phone i had before the G1 was a sony k800...i loved it!!

So, now that we've been seeing Rachael and it seems like that phone is definitely coming out is there anything that can compete with it? I mean the 1GHz processor and stats wise. The phone looks amazing but, it doesn't have a physical keyboard. Are there any rumored power house phones with a keyboard? I kind of want a Cliq but, if something that is more robust is coming down the line I'll just wait.
