T-Mobile soon will introduce a new service and a new device for its subscribers. It is not a phone, it is not a Bluetooth headset. What is it? A Picture frame with a sim card built in. Back on January, Parrot announced the new DF7700, a digital picture frame with a GSM sim card in it. T-Mobile USA soon will offer this service. For 10 dollars per month add it in your account, you will get a new simcard with a number.
You will send a picture message to that number and automatically, your photo will show up on the frame. We don’t know if T-mobile will use the Parrot picture frame, but we sure know T-Mobile will call it CAMEO. The picture frame will be purchased for 100 dollars.
Stay tuned for more information.

I'm not sure why someone would pay monthly for this when they could just buy a digital picture frame instead and load their pictures onto it. It does make it easier I guess and it can be done from far away which is a plus, but the picture quality cant be that great coming from a cell phone.

i think they could market that towards parents who have kids away to college or sappy couples in long distance relationships, but that is about it. If someone wants to show you a picture they could just send it to your cell phone. so very useless.
I agree... another thing is the price. Comparing it with Tmobile@Home service and having in mind their WiFi optional services - for the same price - makes picture frame way behind... if it was like $2-$5 price range - maybe grandparent would be targeted more since they are not into hi-tech cell phone industry stuff
