T-Mobile US Stock Rom & Android Froyo 2.2 FRG33 (mccm); LinPack 38MP; Quadrant 1750
I have a feeling plenty of people will be asking if it's an iPhone.
I've had many conversations like this:
Person: is that phone touchscreen?
Me: yes, that's why I touch it
Person: cool is it an iPhone?
Me: no......it's a T-Mobile Wing
Person: a what?
Me: it's not an iPhone
So freaking annoying, especially when it looks nothing like an iPhone.
^ Yeah, I have no doubt that'll be happening a lot...to ALL of us.

I don't like the idea of calling it the gPhone because that just seems too ridiculous, and too much of a rip off of the iPhone. I really liked calling it the HTC Dream, and probably will continue to call it that. G1 isn't too bad, and I may use that sparingly, but I will stick with Dream as I think it's the cooler of the options.

Even though it is completely incorrect, I will probably call it an Android phone. I've heard other people call it that long enough and it almost seems like it will avoid the most confusion. Once I hand it to a guy who wants to play with it and we get to talking about it, I'll probably give him (or her) the real scoop.

T-Mac "They once made a Ron Artest toilet paper, but it wouldn't take sh!t from anybody" Rockets 09!!
I always prefer to call phones by their actual name, not by the monocle that T-mobile assigned to them.
Therefore this will be the HTC Dream, just like the Wing is the HTC Herald/Atlas, and the Dash is the HTC Excalibur.
