    Default Pets of Android Community!

Ok, I know a lot of you have pets. Post 'em up!

I grew up with dogs and after 6 years of living on my own, I asked myself "why don't I have a dog?" So, I got a dog. Originally planned on an Alaskan Malamute or Siberian Husky since I like how they look, but met a friend with a couple dogs that I thought were awesome and it changed my mind. I found out they were "pit bulls" and was shocked because they didn't quite fit the profile I always heard. I've always enjoyed playing devil's advocate and although I found out with some thorough research that this breed of dog WASN'T the devil that their reputation implies, a majority of people still have negative views of them. They were exactly what I was looking for -- intelligent, athletic, and loyal -- so I adopted one from a family that had to give it up due to their apartment's policy against "dangerous breeds." She's going through obedience classes, will get her AKC Canine Good Citizen certification within the next year, and will start doing agility classes/competitions with her once she's done growing.

    Enough talk. Introducing, Molly!

    When I got her:

    Looking VICIOUS:

    Playing with mother's dogs:

Testing a Nikon D40 couple months back (or more):

I also have a couple odd pets. I've put pictures I found on Google of the same species since I don't have pictures of mine. They are hard to capture since they often hide.

This is the species of my first tarantula which unfortunately didn't make it through a molt. It's an Avicularia Versicolor. They're a bit fragile when young:

This is the Cyriogapagus sp. Blue (aka Singapore Blue) that I had and also did not make it through a molt. They grow to around 9 inches:

This is my current tarantula. It's a P. Murinus (aka Orange Baboon Tarantula or OBT). It's psychotic. Hides frequently, and is extremely hard to move it from one home to another. It got loose once OUTSIDE and fortunately my friend (Wolfie) helped me to get it secured:

Here is what they look like when you have upset them :

That is known as the "threat pose" and means it's a good idea not to bother it

I also have an emporer scorpion.

All my pets are animals that people are usually scared of, but aren't really a big deal. Molly is only dangerous because you run the risk of drowning in her slobber or getting injured by her frantically wagging tail. The scorpion is actually quite docile, and tarantulas have never killed anyone and will try to run before they attempt to bite.

Attach your photos to your post instead of linking them. This way, if their source goes down, there will still be a working picture here. It also saves bandwidth from the hosts.

Boy thats scaaaaaaaaaaaaary....... The US Mint couldn't print enough money for me to voluntarily come in close proximity to any type of spider, and a Tarantula on your hand!!!!!! I love to watch them hunt on tv, they are very efficient, lethal assassins. So stealthy....Wow. Also why didn't they survive the molting process?

Heres a couple of pictures of my dogs.
    Boots is an American Bulldog.
We recently rescued the white dog. His name is Bam Bam. He is some sort of pit bull mix. Both are very loving dogs.

This is boots getting ready to go for a ride...

This is Bam Bam relaxing after a hard day's work....

I have 2 dogs...Taco Belle (we just call her Belle and named her because she is part chihuahua) looks a bit like a rat...my wife and I adopted her about a year ago and we took her to the vet and she had to have the tips of her ears removed...she had a disease called avasculitis, basically, her ears were so big that blood could not get to the tips of them and they were dying...we had the tips removed and she seems to be doing much better now...the fur hasn't grown back all the way yet though...this picture of her is before she had her ears trimmed

Our other dog is named Princess Leia...she came named and is a pretty funny looking dog...she is very sweet and loves to play all the time...she is a Puggle, half pug half beagle
