Interesting, I never saw the Sidekick commercials. I just remember Jaimie Lee Curtis and Zeta-Jones and now their new Fave 5 line of commercials.
Derrick the mustache? Sorry. Dude, what a drag!
Along with the rest of my
fellow Androidian's, I too have thought it would be very cool to see the G1 'SPLASHED' across my television screen during 'Knight Rider'!! Maybe even a special ad, with 'KITT' having a conversation with a G1!!! How cool would THAT be?!?!??
I just want the masses to know Android exist![]()

Don't worry the word will get out, when we roam the city with the phones![]()
I think TMobile will wait until launch, or maybe a little while after launch to advertise on TV. I would think they would want enough units available for the customers brand new to TMobile. Nothing is worse than seeing a new product that you want on TV and then going to the store to only find out that the product is sold out.
They've sold 3-times the number of phones they expected. I don't think they even NEED to have ads at this point, word of mouth, and internet buzz have done the advertizing for them.
I kinda don't want them to do ads. I appreciate the geek/indie value of not having ads up everywhere. It's nice to have a cool new gadget that hasn't ben packaged as some sort of status symbol like the iPod and iPhone.
