Android Dock / Apps Background from Original Android System

Remember when they first demo'd the Android operating system, and the dev phone had this neat apps background and dock on the homescreen.

Why isn't that implimented into today's new builds (cupcake)

looks pretty neat, i know the new 3rd party home screen apps can do this, wouldn't it be simple for them to include this in the original builds?

Nice having a dock

i dunno how fond you guys are of using ahome but that has a nice app dock, i think its one of the best home apps out

i like ahome too and have been using it until 1.5 came. none of the widgets out there would work so i switched back to original.
