    Would this give the opportunity to solve the SD Card Storage Problem (i.e. mounting the drive and re-directing installs)?

    I confirmed this works on RC29. Your phone has to be on your local Wifi network for this to work.

    interesting and all, but I really just want to get access to the phone itself so I can delete the damn ringtones my friend downloaded using the browser and I cant delete since they are on the phone not my SD card.

    You don't need root access to do that, just need to know how to write programs for android...

    You can do this with Glance, which is in the market.
