Hello!
I'm determined to start porting Android to the ARM926EJ-S. It seems the chipset (qualcomm's msm6550) is used in the Samsung Glyde (SCH-U940). I have no exp. porting but am familiar with programming in C++ and am currently learning java. You can check any forum and see plenty of people complaining about the glyde os. The glyde also has dual nam, does anyone have any info on how feasible it is to say have a bootloader in NAM2 and choose to load Android that way? If i could just get some direction on how to get started, I'd give it a go. The processor was built with support for linux kernels and Android supports the processor . I just can't find info on how exactly I could build drivers to support the Android OS. If anyone's reading this please talk about this with anyone you know capable of doing this or drop me their contact info. Android would spread more quickly if devices people already own could run it. If you read, reply...lets network to get the right people started on this, I don't intend to sit on the sideline with this project. Thanks in advance for any leads/help that accumulated.
Also does this page "http://www.arm.com/products/os/linux_download.html" help me? I wanted know if I could use the images on that site to start working on the Glyde.
