what do u have running on it that its that good? i running jachero 1.8b4 and im running into tons of complications. also do u know of a thread that post about heros complications such as certain apps that dont work and what not. or can i just post them here?

im running JAC Hero 1.62v2 its running very fast and quick no force closes, no issues, no load screen, no lag what so ever you should try it!!

and yeah with the apps that don't work with hero you can post them here.

hmm ok. is there a difference between your version and my version? am i losing anything if i revert back?

problems im having with my hero build 1.8b4 is:

contact pictures dont work. when i click on pics in my contacts and click album it says there's no pics available.

rosie force closes when im in landscape mode. my friend said this happens in all hero builds and u need to close it and go to portrait mode before pressing home.

when in phonebook and scrolling thru different options in contact its crashes during the link to facebook option. weird that it works in edit contact mode tho.

was told mms doesnt work but can be used with third party programs. have not tried it yet. was gonna use handcent sms but that doesnt work anymore.

sms:i randomly get second and third notifications of the same text. i think its because i havnt read them and they are renotifying themselves? i could be wrong on this. i'm also a little annoyed that i cant press the end button on the keyboard to send the text and have to move my finger up to the send button on the screen to do it.


apps that dont work or partially work:

absolute fitness: doesnt work at all and this is the one app that i pay for too!

twidroid: works but i cant see my tweets in my notification. tried to go into settings but crashes everytime.

handcent sms: just started using this for a few weeks before hero and was loving it and now it doesnt even show force close. it just goes straight back to home screen.

browser: works but its changed a little bit. whenever i was on my site and i ususally have trailers on there and such. the jf build shows my trailers with either a need plugins screen or watch it right there or use youtube to run it. now it just shows a blank. my friend said there's flash support on hero and im think its able to interpret it but not to the full extent so it just shows me nothing?

i havnt even run thru my full apps thing yet so i dont know what else doesnt work or not. but i do have a few questions. there's social networks in the settings menu for facebook, flickr and twitter. odd that twitter is there but the twitter widget is taken out. for facebook, is there's a way to link them directly thru my contacts without having to do it individually? i couldnt find a facebook app preloaded on the phone anywhere. what's the purpose of flickr signin? besides using it to link to friends? upload from phone? would be nice if there was an app that lets me look thru my flickr stream since im signed in already.

hopefully these questions have answers to them. also i found a 1.62 version but not 1.62v2. same? if not can u provide link to it. thanks.

To your questions / bugs on your build

- Rosie doesn't support landscape so if you open your keyboard on the homescreen you WILL get a force close there is no way around this, only use Rosie / Homescreen while in portrait
- MMS doesn't work in ALL HERO BUILDS, but using 3rd party apps you can still use MMS i believe.
- Contact pictures can't be set from the peoples app because there htcalbum / photo app is missing so you gotta do it thru gmail.com or sync your contacts thru facebook which i do cause all my friends have facebook

download the wallpaper / resources such as ringtones, notifications, alarms here

how is urs running smoothly?but im having problems...

1.it keeps saying force close

mines running smoothly, i actually deleted gtalk cause i dont use it
but when i had it it only took a few sec to log in and no force closes.

did you move apps to sd and dalvick cache also
