I dropped my phone, and well, ended up with three big cracks running through the top portion of the screen. The phone still works fine, I can still use touchscreen. I can actually slide and touch my fingers over the cracked without an issue...the phone still responds perfectly well. My question is, what would be best way for replacing this? Buying a screen and doing it myself? going to a shop? Sending to T-Mobile? I didn't pay insurance, so I'm not sure what to do.
Thanks!
Call around for some price quotes and also look into how much a kit would cost...

Dropped mine and cracked it a few months ago. The phone and the touch still worked, but I had it replaced by HTC. I think it was about $250 total. They replaced the screen and slide out. Needless to say, I am very careful with it now. Repair cost almost as much as the original $279 I paid for the damn thing! O yea, I obviously didn't have insurance either.
Interesting... my son's GF dropped her iPhone and the screen was over-with. She took it to the Apple Store and they put in a new screen, no charge. (Then she tail-gated an Audi A8 with her VW... don't think that was free.)
