So I booted into recovery and ran the latest back-up... now I can't go any further because it needs a data connection to login to google... can't believe I didn't think of that first...
I woke up this morning to no data service (3G or EDGE) on my G1... I texted my wife, who also has a G1, and her's is fine... the only difference is that I am running Cyan's 4.1.9.2 and she has an unrooted phone... I flashed and installed this ROM two days ago and it has been running ok since...
any thoughts as to why I suddenly have no data?... I have rebooted a few times but did not want to nandroid unless I had to...
Thanks!

If you have adb installed you can login with it.

If not, you'll have to use your wifes sim card or borrow one for a while.
I have the same problem. Please post here if you find the solution.
I called T-Mobile... they were able to re-send the signal to my phone... put the battery back in and booted it up... 3G is back!...
Dude, just call customer service...![]()
check apn settings
it appears my celebration was premature... about 15 minutes after getting off of the phone w/ T-Mobile, the data connection is gone again... not sure why it keeps kicking it out... could this be ROM related at all?... I don't know enough to be able to rule it out...
thoughts?...
In my case, I haven't changed my APN settings, and my data just dropped today. Been running Cyanogen for a couple or three weeks.
Same thing w/ me... been running Cyan ROM's for some time now... updated to 4.1.9.2 the other day using the CM Updater... didn't like some of the FC's I was getting so I flashed and reloaded the nandroid - problem was I must have nandroided after 4.1.9.2 was loaded because that's what it reloaded... I was ok w/ it and it did appear to be running better for the last two days... then this morning, no data...
I haven't ever messed w/ the APN's... wouldn't know what to do w/ 'em anyway...
Any luck with your data coming back up?
