Custom Skin

So, I have been tirelessly working on this project, which is to skin the g1. My main stumbling block was that I hadn't figured out how to get the changes required to change the color of the status bar text to white. Well, I have decided to take another route and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with myself!

I still have some more things to skin but rest assured I am almost done, just workin on the little things now. Check the pics out and let me know what you think!

Did you see the Android dud in replacement of the G?
Did you notice the white background behind the serach bar is now totally transparent?

To do:

Finish knocking out the rest of the yellow....(yuck)

Unfortunately, when I release this it will require root privilages to install.
Also, when this is available for install, doing so will result in the loss of all of your apps, so if you want this, be prepared for that.
After the initial install you will no longer lose your apps when installing updates, providing that you still have this installed.

embossed dialer buttons?
forgot if i saw this on your skins but different colour highlights when u touch something.. (i.e. the arrow to pull up the menu lights up orange when u touch it)

this is very cool, unfortunately most people don't have root and won't be able to skin their G1..

I like your white high lighting, the original orange high lighting is horrible. Hopefully all this skinning will soon make it possible for us to make themes for the phone.

Yes I have different highlighting for things, when your just scrolling down a menu it is a dark grey, when you select it is a startling white.
