Cyan Recovery to Amon Ra?

If i'm already rooted with cyans 1.4 recovery, can I just boot into recovery then choose "any zip" to then change recovery to Amon Ra's recovery img?

I wouldn't have to reflash cyans whole mod if I do it this way would I?

Granted the new recovery is in the root of SD card, i know this much..

You don't do it in recovery, just type the commands in your terminal. Yes, put it on the root of your sd card. No you don't have to reflash cyan.

You will not have to reflash Cyan's mod again.
Just:

Code:

Copy recovery-RA-dream-v1.6.2.img to the root of your sdcard
start the terminal app
$su (not required if you have root already)
#mount -a
#flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-dream-v1.6.2.img

Use the commands notxell gave you depending on which recovery you chose to install.. I think there's regular, green and maybe a care bear.

hmm... I'm getting this when I type mount -a: mounting /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 on /system/sd failed: no such file or directory

That's not what you type through terminal.
su (enter)
flash_image recovery /sdcard/ recovery-RA-dream-v1.6.2.img(enter)
reboot recovery (enter)
You can reboot or reboot recovery to make sure it took.

You were using adb, weren't you?

i'm so dumb... didn't realize i was putting a - instead of a _ between flash and image lol,

let me try this again lol

using terminal, never got adb working on my ubuntu machine
