under linux, I think user database path is: $HOME/.android/userdata.img

Regarding your databse problem under linux here is the solution,just open the shell and goto the directory where your android is,goto upto tools folder ,and rest of the stuff u can check uner below link very easily

I think database is not intended for reading outside of your application, unless you create a public URI
