do i have to do a mod if i have this firmware

Okay I'm a noob and I know there might be threads already but I just want to know if I can gain root access with this firmware that I have. killa user 1.0 tc4 rc30. this is what the phone came with. do i have to mod in order to get root access. someone please help

man thank you so much, i'm gonna do this tomorrow, i can't wait to free up space on this phone, im tired of seeing the low on space thing on the top of my screen and i always have to delete a app. thank u buddy

Yea good luck man. I did mine twice, once because I accidentally reverted back to the UK version, now im on build:

dream_devphone-userdebug 1.0 UNLOCKED etc etc.

So now I have a dev phone and im feeling pretty good right now lol.

mission accomplished, have you guys done anything like the custom boot image stuff yet, and how exactly do you move those applications that come with the phone over to the sdcard, or for that matter just delete them, cause i never used that amazon mp3 stuff
