    Default Downgrade from RC30---then apply root-enabled RC30?

    Hey all.

I stupidly upgraded to RC30 (I had root). Now it's gone, and I'd like to apply he patch, but obviously I can't.

If I reset the phone, would that put me back at RC19 or something? Is there a way to "update" my phone to an old RC? That would be awesome. Then I could do the whole root manual updates from now on thing.

    Just curious.

no if you reset your phone you will still be at RC30...as of now I don't believe there is a backtracking method.

Don't worry too much, there will be another jailbreak method in the future for sure. As of right now, there isn't anything you can do that isn't risky besides move your browser cache to your SD card.

That's exactly what I wanted to do... as well as having the opportunity to install apps there one day.
Anyways I think you create symlinks from the cache store on the phone's storage to the sd card. Makes sense.
