Ah well it was going so well until just now. I chose the hero rom on here:

    http://theunlockr.com/downloads/andr.../android-roms/

and downloaded it. when i tried to install it on the recovery screen, i got these errors:

    E:Can't mount system:
    E:Failure at line 3:
    copy_dir PACKAGE:system SYSTEM:

    Installation aborted.

    help??

Lol well i thought i was. i used this ROM:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...k+white+screen

and when i tried to reboot it, it just went to the recovery screen where it said that the rom was installed and then said rebooting...
but it was stuck there. So i tried to take the battery out and it did the G1 screen then turned white with black lines.

I'm going to try a few more things that may fix it, but for now, any ideas, i would LOVE.

Your moving too fast lol, your not ready for hero roms yet, you need the danger spl, flash this first. Once you have that running good, then we can get you to other goodies.

that link pulls up page not found.

the hardest part is that i'm stuck at work and i gave my dad my old phone and accidentally stuck my sd adapter in the bag with his stuff so i've been bumming peoples phones all day to load things from my computer to my sd then switch it back to my phone. lol

rooting is the greatest thing out there..

    it sets all g1's apart..

my friend got a sprint hero, and i still feel my phone is better for what i can do with it..
his obviously looks nicer, but he cant change a damn thing on it.. besides wallpapers.. and widgets. lol
