Default HEELLPPP with Dimensions for Face of new App

Sorry to come off as a noob. I must preface this by saying, I'm not a graphics guy. I am merely the concept creator and team leader of a new app. We are making graphics for the new app and there seems to be some confusion about our dimensions. Before I send these images to the coding dept. I can't seem to figure out if they will fit the screen properly. I found a schematics page on the G1 and it says screen is 320x280.

    Questions,
    1) Does this include the top bar that displays time and 3G reception icons?

    2) If it does, what would be the actual dimensions of the screen for my app while leaving the space for the info bar at the top?

I'm under the gun for a time limit here, I'm on vacation from my day job and I am cramming in the development of the app over my time off. I would love to show the graphics we have, but it would surely give away the concept. HELPPPPP someone. Please Pm me or email me at contact@myfriendslist.com Thanks in advance to any that can help!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that link, may be helpful to the coding dept. but I need specific info on dimensions for graphics designers. Due to holidays coders are not available.

I developed Qsearch. Well, You can always have the developers use the SDK and get the dimension from the screen with the built in functions.

Are you making a G1 specific app? If you rely on the G1 and decide on hardcoding values in you code for screen resolutions that might cause problems in the future with different device screens.

I do not remember the method names or even classes but you can easily get these values your looking for within the SDK.

I'll pass this on. The coders are all in different timezones and I am working with graphics guys now. Due to holiday season all of our schedules are out of whack. So we gotta squeeze in work when we can. Been up since about 7am working when I should be enjoying my vacation and sleeping in. Thanks any more help is appreciated.

ps- before I bring the app to market, I'll be sure to share it here. Probably will need some beta testers anyways.
