Sorry that was more of a "maybe you should add this" type of post. And just to return the love shown, go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=406 for partion 9 magic help (files) and other advise. I did Hero following the xda directions and reverted back to Cyro (I need blue-tooth) but couldn't help but try it. I must admit yours were much easier.

    Nice!!!
I do quite a few write-ups, kinda for my personal usage, so when I forget things which I do lol (ask CT)

I started to send this off in some emails to users who asked for help, thought this would be WAY easier posting it here.

make sure you note the exact order of installing the radio vs spl. that's what bricked my phone.

haykuro's new spl is the only thing out there right now that could brick a G1, be careful!

Ahh yes, the radio, do make sure that this is the first thing you update. Abd hit camera+power, see if you have a PVT phone or not.
I forget, is PVT safe or not? I think it is, not positive.

I know there a tons of easy guides that will take you through step by step, but I am wondering how much I could just rent one of you for and get help from you! I havent rooted yet and think I want to, just dont see a lot of positives that outweigh the cost of bricking my phone! So, I am now taking bids from you geniuses who can root me- hassle free to me!

In all seriousness, thanks for taking the time to post this, I appreciate all the info you daily posters provide.

Last Question, can I check whether or not I have PVT or DVT with an unrooted phone? If so, how? If I have DVT, can that be changed? How? Thanks!
