From T-Mobile G1 FAQ:
Main display
Type: Up to 1048k TFT color
Colors:18 bit

Dimensions: 1.99 x 2.77 inches
Any Idea On How Many Pixel's The G1's Screen Is..
What i plan to do is make Custom Bg's For My g1. It'll be basic, but nice =]
From T-Mobile G1 FAQ:
Main display
Type: Up to 1048k TFT color
Colors:18 bit
Size: 320 X 480 pixels
Dimensions: 1.99 x 2.77 inches
VGA = 640 x 480
HVGA (1/2 VGA) = 480 x 320 (G1)
QVGA (1/4 VGA) = 320 x 240 (older PDAs/Smartphones)
Then you have non-standard size: 800 X 480 (X1 Xperia)
BTW, X1 only has 64k color TFT.
Does any One Know How To Use the Emulator By Setting A Picture from your computer As A Background on the g1 Emulator Or something?
Here is another good question. Since it is 320x480 and the workspace seems to be 3 screens wide, does that mean we can use a 960x480 jpg as a background?
If you read the thread I linked to when I stated that "search is our friend" you'll see that the actual dimensions of the wallpaper is 640x480. Yes there's 3 screens, but there's a good amount of bleed over from one screen to the next.
