Hi all,
Sorry if this has been covered, I did search and found nothing, unless I just picked the wrong terms.
I started my "root career" with JF ADP1.5 and also applied the AppstoSD2 method of moving my applications to the sd card. With the ADP 1.5 everything was working great.
I updated to the 1.51 release and noticed that my phone was really slow after restart. Task Manager shows 10-20 applications running, as soon as I kill the applications, the phone runs fine. Wiping/re-flashing doesn't help, this always happens.
I updated to the latest cyanogen release (3.4) last night and also ran the ext3 update to my sd card partition (about 768MB on an 8GB class 6 card).
I am still having the same problem, even after another wipe when I flashed this new ROM.
At this point I am looking for opinions on how to resolve/why this is happening. If I need to kill/redo the Apps2SD stuff I will.
Thanks in advance...!
When I change roms, I always do a wipe. I wipe EVERYTHING.
What I do:
- -use AppManager to back up all my apps to my SD card (the Fat32 one)
- -Write down any "protected" apps
- -use a linux machine (or a gParted LiveCD) and format my ext2/ext3 partition
- -use the recovery console to wipe and install new rom
- -download AppManager from the market.
- -Begin installing apps from SD card.
Most people wont like this method because it means you need to redo all your settings/apps again. However, for me, this is a small price to pay for a zippy phone again.
NOTE! don't format the Fat32 portion of your SD card, it is unnecessary.
NOTE AGAIN! This method is for Cryo 3.4 version where apps to SD is automatic

Thanks.... I originally formatted my card using gParted on an Ubunto live CD as ext2. I ran the ext3 update from cyanogen's instructions over at xda. It sounds like
I should format the card as ext3 in gParted then?
I formatted it as ext2 then used his new recovery image to change it back. It seems kinda redundant, but I figured I'd let his program dictate how to set up the partition
Hi all, once again there is a plethera of information on here and on xda about this new rom build Cyanogen, and I even have the link to the zip file but I do not see instructions on how this rom install should go, since all of them seem to have different ways of being installed properly can someone direct me to a link that shows the install process?
You should install 3.3.2 first, so it can partition your ext2 to ext3...
Then you should flash the "NEW 3.4 UPDATE" (it's the Best out there, trust me)
I did this coming from JF1.5 with the hard SPL
I also have Cyanogen/JF recovery Image as well
