Hi,
I've rooted my phone this morning, and pout the JF1.51 rom on. I opened the Market app to start downloading some apps but it opens for a few seconds the closes.
Anyone know what the problem could be??
Firmware 1.5
kernal 2.6.27-00392_g8312baf
build crb43

Did you wipe before you flashed the ROM?
No I dont think I did. What should I do?
Do you have Cyanogen's Recovery Image?
If not...

Once you have that, backup the things you need using something like MyBackupPro, or Backup For Root Users. Although if you're market won't open I'm not entirely sure how you'd install these.
Once you have your stuff backed up, boot into the Recovery by turning off your phone and powering it on while holding the Home button. Make sure you have the custom ROM zip file on your sdcard.
You'll see an option to wipe the system - after it's wiped, re-flash the ROM.
Personally I would recommend that you use Cyanogen 3.6.8.1 ROM, not sure why you want to go with a JF ROM.

Thanks for that worked a treat
Well I looked at that rom and it stated that it was only 32B phones, cause I dont know what this means and no one would tell me I went with the safe option and downloaded the JF 1.51 rom
Do you think I would be ok with the 3.6.8.1 ROM
Sorry to be a total pain but I can't seem to find the rom. Have you got a download link for it, and do I need to do anything to make the phone ready or can I just wipe then update.

Mission Accomplished
Thank you so much guys for all your help, and I sorry I was being all dense about it, just so worried about bricking the phone. Did ok with symbian(n95) but this is much more involved, so much to learn.
Thanks again
Lol . Once you get it , android is pretty easy actually . Just got to get over the fear of bricking your phone . I suggest you also install cyanogens recovery , you could be a phone and time saver.....
