When it says in the XDA thread don't use the recovery command from console use reboot does that mean no "reboot recovery"? or does it mean no "recovery" command alone?

    it means

    via console
    Code:
Copy recovery-RA-dream-v1.3.2.img to the root of your sdcard
Boot into your current custom recovery (boot while holding HOME)
    select console from the menu
$su (not required if you have root already)
    #mount -a
    #flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-dream-v1.3.2.img
    #reboot
    the phone will reboot

This is what I know, but as you I don't know how to check it, maybe someone more knowlegable than me will chime in. This is not mine I found it. It includes an advanced MD5 hash check, so you can be sure to obtain the original file ... and a hash check, so you can check your files to be sure that are not corrupted.

Alright, well thanks. I believe i know as much as you do or at least is on the same page, I did a few searches & read up on it a little but I'm still curious as to how to check for the corrupted file. Hopefully someone who knows a bit more can further explain.

I noticed Amon Ra's ss' are a from his 1.3.1 update but he's now at 1.3.2 & i dont think he's updated his screen shots, i was wondering why there wasn't some options showing on his screen shots that he had listed, such as Wipe data + cache (factory reset) but it most likely is there. He just hasn't updated the ss'. I just want to find out a bit more before I update from 1.2.3 to 1.3.2.

But thanks for the thread find & post!

I know the phone will reboot using that command but are we never supposed to use the reboot recovery command when in console or just after the flash of the new .img?
