oh wow, very interesting
Theres a great new app on the market for those that mod and keep modding their phones . heres a description of the app in the developers own words...
" This app allows you to create your user.conf/userinit.sh files without the need to edit complicated files. Simply plug your values into the app and it will create the necessary files for you and push them to the proper location. For now, works for Cyanogen 3.6.8x+, Cyanogen 4.1.99+ and OfficialDonut. See help for details.
user.conf Creator was developed for Android by Android App Critic
Package name : com.aac.userconf
System permissions : This application doesn't need special permissions "

Nice find. Where do you find all these things?
your going to have to play with it a little to decide what setting are right for you . read their "help" page . it goes over each setting giving you an idea . i checked media2sd and permission fix , enabled compcache w/disksize 40 and 60 swappiness , enabled linux swap w/swappiness of 60 , scaling minumum 245760 , maximum 528000 .
Okay, I admit I really don't know much about linux.
What is all this swappiness about? And linux swap? And as far as the numbers for each, how should I go about determining the best number to set each to?

linux swap is the designated space on your hd to use as swap, swappiness is how much it will use your swap instead of using internal mem. My linux swap is around 300, I recommend 160 but its up to you. My swappiness is 100 because I dont want it pointing to more than one thing, I recommend 60 but once again its up to you, you may not push your phone as much as I do.
so this app is comparable to swapper...the original sd card as ram app?
should i stick with swapper or does any1 recommend this?
