also on a side not, you will have to use a calculator after doing #print to make sure you are putting in the correct figures... each card has different amounts of bytes..

That is too right ! Too many people assume a 4gb card is 4gb , and a 2gb is 2gb . When they are actually not !

Anyways , I just updated the guide to include updating your ext2 to ext3 !

In recovery go to the terminal , type ......

    su
    upgrade_fs
    reboot recovery

Press repair ext filesystems , reboot , and you are at ext3

as per this thread i am having massive problems with damaged sd cards.

i have tried with class 2 and class 6, both 16 gig, with identical results.

part of this is the error in parted: "Error: /dev/block/mmcblk0: unrecognised disk label"

i'm really not sure where to go from here since it seems that my g1 is killing every sd card i put inside it!

any insight as to what the issue actually is would be very, very appreciated!

Power off your phone . Power on pushing the home and power buttons together . If you have the stock recovery ,you will get an exclamation point , press alt+L , this is the recovery . If you are rooted , and have jfs recovery or cyans recovery you are in recovery at this point , after the phone is powered up pressing home and power .
