quick question

ok i talked to tmobile and they said since im too broke for the data plan my mms wont send and other small things wont work on my phone...

so my question is since this is open source do u think somebody will create a way to send mms differently or better yet bypass the data plan?

i dont know much about 3g and the phone services and stuff but i think that u can do this to some extent using other things and such....

just a thought feel free to leave opinions

your data plan and messsaging plan are different. They do not depend on each other. You can an unlimited text plan with out a data plan.

Unlimited text which includes mms is $15
Unlimted data with 400 text $25
Unlimited data with text $35

I DO NOT understand why you would own a G1 with NO data plan? Can you please answer me that 1st? Might as well get a Motorola Razr or some kind of cheap phone that all it does is call and text, no reason to have a G1 when you can't use it to its full capabilities.

um for one the razor is gay so u can gtfo with that gay **** 2 u cant make programs for the gay razr or a phone that just calls n texts 2 i can do **** with wifi so get off my back and answer the question i posted or dont post at all if u wanna pay the extra 25 a month for me id be glad to have a data plan

nismog35 yes those r correct my phone plan has the unlimited text 19.99 and my mms wont send i bet its a phone problem but of course when u call tmobile if u arent giving them their 25 or 35 bucks they want a month then, thats the problem with ur phone

i figured if text works then mms should too correct?

The amount of functionality you have is directly proportional to the amount of money you pay unfortunately. Like the Sidekick. Useless without the Sidekick package.

indeed u cant do anything at all with a sidekick without the plan but sidekick isnt open source and unlike the sidekick i can do just about anything without paying 25 or 35 a month all i gotta do is hook up to my wireless at home or at school, thats pretty much the only places i am

yeah id love one if they made it more affordable or somehin to me it seems like they r just draining ur money ...i rarely need the interent on my phone atm and when i do im in places where i have it so for me paying them 25 more is just flat out waste
