I feel like this is a dumb question but with the Hero roms is it ok to try and move caches and dalvik to the SD card with a program like Apps2SD? I know some or all Hero roms come with apps to sd built in. Does hero even have a dalvik cache? I dont know this is all new territory for me been on TheDudes Cyanogens builds untill 3 days ago when i flashed JACxHERO. Waiting for Drizzys optimizations now.
Edit: Woops put this in the wrong thread. But i suppose if anyone can answer its just as well....

using drizzy's personal. fast no people widget. but it does run good
I've been trying out the Hero ROMs. And well, I know there are a lot of people who are hesitant to try the new thing until there are some reviews on it so here are my two cents. Right now I am using the Full Hero that just came out. When I first flashed it, my G1 ran pretty fast and efficiently with widgets on all the screens (Clock with weather, Twitter, Bookmarks, Music, Messaging). My linux-swap is only at 32mgs on a class 6 mem card, and I don't know whether or not compcache was enabled with it so I manually enabled compcache. After playing with the phone all night and for most of the day I realized that the Full Hero runs decent, but still has some random lag (I don't get the dreaded "Loading" screen often, but, at times, the phone does take anywhere between 5-10 seconds to access the following programs: People, Messaging, Music, and Twitter/Peep.) A minor solution to speed up the system that I used was the Task Manager App. But, it gets old and annoying having to close out of programs almost everytime I am going to use the phone. I don't recommend Full Hero for daily use until it is Optimized if you use your phone as much as I do during the day (ie: music, google calender reminders, SMS, Instant Messaging, and browsing the internet, all at almost the same time) because you'll experience the inconvienient load times. Also, the "Folders" shortcut doesn't work. Whenever I try to add a folder to the desktop it force closes. I thought it was just a bad flash, so I reflashed, didn't change. So I redownloaded Full Hero and reflashed, still the same. I am going to try out the other releases again because I was unsuccessful when I tried his Personal Hero. For some reason I'd flash and then it'd boot up, but then it would load up to the LockScreen and when I tried to unlock it would load back to the booting HTC screen. It might've been a faulty download because I tried reflashing multiple times. And I haven't had a chance to experiment with the Lite Hero ROM.
ran the personal found it very good but still get load screens and random "htc" screens also takes so long to ring when someone calls that i miss every phone call
but i have not used a swap or anything just installed it as an update dont know if doing it the longer way will make it any faster.
but still to slow to be used as a every day or main phone
I have been running the full version for 2 days now and even though it is not optimized it is really fast and I haven't had any problems with it other than the known issue's. My woman got jealous of the look and now it is on her phone as well, without any problems. Although, the weather widget did crash on me once.
