Now, that would be very cool... but, I'm not sure I could keep my hands off that little G1 long enough for the screensaver to kick in![]()
Will it be possible to have screen savers on the g1 sorta like computers have, and not just like regular pic ones, but like the "fish tank" ones, were things move within the screen saver

I am assuming someone will make something like that but thinking about the purpose, I do not think it would be smart to have it at allmaybe picture unlock or something like that - but scrsaver - it will be either in the pocket, case, pouche, jacket pocket, etc... where you want to use the screen saver?

I wouldn't mind some animated backgrounds. Screensavers aren't really useful and they will eat up battery, but I'm sure someone will make one anyway.
I know online, fans of each tend to be enemies with each other, but I think in reality the market is big enough for both of them to exist together.
On the topic of a screensaver I don't think most phones have them, they just show the time mostly when it is on powersave, because as mentioned it wastes batteries and it isn't that useful.
I used to use the screen saver on my T-Mo Wing (3rd party app) but it kept locking up the phone whenever you tried to turn it off and do something. Ended up having to reset it every time.
I would only use a screensaver while the phone is charging, otherwise it's just wasting battery time. I remember my brother showing me the screensaver on his phone in 2001, which is the last time I think that was impressive.
I'd rather just have the screen turn off and save battery power.
