This is sooo weird! I've always disliked HTC and their weird initiatives.

The home screen wallpaper not only does it adjust Vertically but also Horizontally... wtf?

All this mofo wants is to have these beautiful ladies as his background... but noooo G1 doesn't like that it asks me to crop... and what for? Why doesn't it auto-adjust?

I need a fix, fellas - help a brother out!

First of all, you need the right size ratio for the phone to use an image as a background, otherwise it would look very distorted. When cropping, you can change the size of the cropped area by dragging out the sides of the box. Just do that until you are happy with the crop and you're good.

And btw, it's google, not htc, you should be complaining about. Google made the operating system, htc provided the hardware. Very very very big distinction to be made.

also download wallpaper set and save from the market and use it once you get the right proportions.

    lol uh huh...

here's a question...what do I do if I'm rooted and have 5 screens instead of 3? I can never get the wallpaper to look "right"...in that the main image is skewed to the right or left of the homescreen (where I want it)

You need to do your reasearch before you buy your phone and not bitch about it after. I've had mine for almost 8 months and it is so much better than just about anything out there right now.

Use G1wallz.com for some wallpapers that are desgined for the G1. You'll find some ladies there for your phone.
