Community Giveaways!!! *Updated*

So with the release of the first Android powered device and our community growing we are going to have different contests and prize giveaways going on from time to time to show how much we appreciate our members.

The only rules to be eligible are:

1) You must be a registered member.

2) You must be a contributing member. This just means 5 or more posts wherever you like. The catch? They can't be senseless posts just to get the qualification. We want you to voice you opinion and join in the discussions here.

Stay tuned for the contests. Some will be triggered by special events such as an anniversary or release date and what not. Others will be completely at random. So keep an eye out.


Alright everyone thank you for the entries. We really would like to have a lot more people participate. You may enter more than once but if you do only one of your entries will be used in the judging. We have decided to raise the stakes a bit and offer this nice package at the bottom.

I am going to call this contest on Tuesday the 30th and then let the users vote till the 3rd at 10:PM, after which we will have a winner!!

I am hoping this website lives for a long time! I am desperately waiting on the first android based device from Tmobile and looking forward to see another competitor to XDA developer website - who is more or less in the WM world.

Looks like we are going to have our first one very soon to celebrate our first 1,00 users!! So keep an eye out because its bound to pop us anywhere in the forum. Not necessarily in its own thread either.

I think this community will get a lot more users once the first Android phone comes out. Please will want a place to talk about their new gadget and hopefully will stumble upon this site and start any android discussions.

We here at AndroidCommunity have finally hit our 1,000 member mark, time to celebrate!! Special thanks to kmartburrito for being the 1,000th member to register! This is the first contest we are going to have, with more to come. I know the suspense for the Dream launch is killing me so I felt I'd add a little more suspense to everyone life by keeping the prize for this contest a secret.

Here is how the contest is going to go:

We are going to have a custom signature/banner contest. Just create an android themed signature, apply it to your profile and post here in this thread. Its that simple. Everyone will have a fair chance to enter. The catch is you must be a registered user with 5 posts or more. The posts can not be senseless either. Your opinion matters here.

Judging will go as follows:
Depending on the amount of submissions, we will narrow down the entries to around 5-10 and allow all the users to vote on them. The contest will run till the start of the T-Mobile Android press event. Giving users a little time to create and perfect there entry.

The contest has been extended until further notice because of the number of participants and the first Android giveaway. Stay tuned!
