not soo tec savy so please excuse the question if its stupid, i have a gateway laptop that only takes up to a 4gb sdhc card. im getting a g1 and have a 16gb micro sd card ready for my g1 how can i transfer stuff load things on the card if my laptop wont read that high of a card? do i use those usb card readers?(if so which is a good one that car read 16gb for cheap lol ) or what can i do any advice on products or solutions thanks in advance
Just use the USB cable that comes with the G1. Plug it into your phone and into your computer. The computer reads it as a mass storage device and you drag your music to your 16GB card that you put into the phone.. I hope this helps

the G1 has an option to turn it into a USB device, you plug the USB into your computer(its included in the box) then pull it up under my computer and drag your files over to it, it's cake.

Any lucky G1 owners care to post what the file system hierarchy looks like under Windows and Linux?

My 16gb won't read on my g1 for some reason.. It makes me sad![]()
it may be formatted incorrectly, anyone know what the format needs to be to read on the G1?
A little off topic, but does anyone know if a 32GB SDHC will work in the G1? I could almost get rid of my ipod! Kinston claims to have it for sale on their site, but its f-ing expensive ($293). I'm just curious if this would be supported, its class 4. Thanks.
